Full-time freelance translator and proofreader since 1996. I work with publishing houses, translation agencies, companies and individuals. I am specialized in the translation of medical, pharmacological and scientific texts.

I earned a degree in Translation and Interpretation from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in 1996. I began working as a translator and proofreader mostly in the editorial field. I’ve translated a dozen novels by authors like Ursula K. LeGuin, J. R. R. Tolkien and Philip K. Dick, as well as several literary and social assays.

At the same time, I gained the following certifications from the Junta Permanent de Català, the official Catalan language body: the Proficiency Certificate in year 2000 and the Certificate of Ability to Correct Oral and Written Texts in Catalan in year 2002.

In 2005 I earned the MA in Scientific and Technical Translation from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra. From that moment I specialized in medical, pharmacological and scientific translation. I’ve translated more than fifteen medical books and I’ve done translations and proofreadings of dozens of articles, protocols, and all kinds of medical texts.

Other notable projects I’ve worked in are the new version of the French-Spanish dictionary of Larousse, the translation of promotional web pages and the translation of subtitles for DVDs.

I am a member of the Professional Association of Translators and Interpreters of Catalonia (APTIC).
